Web browsers: LibreWolf has built-in privacy tools, IridiumBrowser.de the better option for Windows that is built on the same Open-Source Chromium codebase that powers Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge browsers. Ungoogled Chromium for Linux. Tor Browser for generic browsing.

Search Engine for any browser: SearX.be pulls from multiple search engines, metager.org pulls from multiple search engines but sometimes is wonky, Whoogle-Search think safer google search, can be self-hosted ... we noticed these superseded DuckDuckGo,
Tip: you do not have to stick with just one, as results vary based on your search and thier ongoing updates/tweaks.

(so, do not waste our time with why you do not like signal :-) especially when Signal.org folks are active & release frequent updates, to keep us safer … at no charge!
Using only a browser (nothing-to-install) online meetings FREE https://teams.live.com ... that outclasses most everyone else's free offerings
For managing aliases https://simplelogin.io/ so you can keep private your real email.
For secure email nothe beats https://proton.me/ followed by https://tutanota.com/ ... each have their unique sell, and are in the EU (i.e., GDPR)
NOTE: proton also has Pass (with some niceties), Calendar, and Drive but think of it as a cloud folder, as it does not have view/edit, such as, NextCloud.
Best opensource for online collaboration a pretty decent alternative to Microsoft SharePoint or Google-Workspace https://nextcloud.com/providers/
NOTE: when it comes to usability it is extremely hard to beat Microsoft (e.g., VSCode overtook the opensource space by storm, though it has Microsoft hooks, suggest VSCodium instead of VSCode) ... sorry cannot recommend Google as its usability is about hiding/abstracting things, and not even touching Apple.
